It's time for my third annual year in review blog. As I was writing this, I just so happened to put it in a different format from before. So, how well did you remember 2009?
Did you enjoy president Obama's... inauguration, stimulus package, CARS/Cash for Clunkers program, Beer Summit, and announced health care reforms?
Were you disappointed by Obama's... stimulus package, failure to get the 2016 Summer Olympics for Chicago (congratulations Brazil!), and trip to China?
Did you mourn the loss of... Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, and GeoCities?
Were you dead tired of... vampires (and not just the Twilight Saga, they're everywhere), auto-tune, Jon and Kate Gosselin, Michael Jackson, and Tiger Woods?
Did you forget about... Captain Sully, Octomom, Susan Boyle, the Beer Summit, and Balloon Boy?
Were you shocked and appalled at... Chris Brown, Balloon Boy's parents, Serena Williams, and Kanye West?
Anime fans, do you remember... Hetalia Axis Powers, Gurren Lagann, Code Geass, and Black Butler?
Did you see... Up, The Hangover, Inglorious B***e**s, Zombieland, Michael Jackson's This Is It, and The Princess and the Frog?
Did you listen to... "Fireflies" by Owl City, "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas, "Battlefield" by Jordin Sparks, "Love Story" by Taylor Swift, or pretty much anything by Lady Gaga?
Did you play... Street Fighter IV, The Beatles: Rock Band, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, andNew Super Mario Bros. Wii?
Did you rejoice when iTunes started offering DRM-free songs, only to feel ripped off when they randomly jacked up some of the prices by 30 cents (UK 20 pence)?
Did you rejoice when deviantArt set up their Groups system, only to... well, no catch there. Yet
And as for me, I got grounded, got a job, and I think I got this anime convention thing down pat. I also discovered TVTropes, Order of the Stick, and xkcd for great lulz.
But as always, a year is what you make of it. What do you personally remember from 2009?
Decade in review blog coming soon.

#Speedovember 2020 Announcement
Folks, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I am closing commissions throughout the month of November. Why? Well, that's the good news. I'm starting a new edition of #Speedovember! In case you don't remember, last year I started this event as an excuse to draw some of my favourite male characters in, well, speedos. This time around, I'm giving it a different theme from last year's quasi-strip-show. The new series will be based around a swim meet, where different characters from the same franchise will have similar speedo designs. And which characters will be represented, you may ask? It depends on what I have time for, but you can expect bishies from My Hero Academia, Persona 5, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and hopefully more! Get ready, and enjoy!
Twitter and Facebook Hiatus
To all my readers, I have an important announcement to make. As a step in protecting my mental health, I am taking an indefinite hiatus from certain social media sites, specifically Twitter and Facebook. Whilst I have made and built a few friendships on Twitter, it's not worth the bad news I keep chancing upon in my feeds that simply end up ruining my day. I won't say what the topic was that solidified my decision. Surprisingly, it wasn't related to real-world politics, although that state of affairs has long been my biggest source of stress, so that isn't helping. Also, today being #WorldMentalHealthDay today is only a coincidence, but combined with my emotional rollercoaster that was yesterday, I am finally doing something about it. . (5/8)So let's get down to brass tacks: I will no longer post or read any notifications on Twitter and Facebook. This will also extend to my roleplay accounts, @AcroYuri24 and @OrientalDanceC1. On that note, I will still be active on the
#SaveFalcougeFanclub: A Call to Arms
One of my best friends online, falcougefanclub on Twitter, has been harassed by a cyberstalker for quite some time. I don't have a real name for this bully, but he has been creating multiple accounts on many different sites, only to crudely and incessantly slander him and his beliefs. He has been trying to impersonate the real Falcouge or pose as one of his cousins, and is trying to embed himself within the real Falcouge's favourite fandoms, including Power Stone and Totally Spies. (For the uninitiated, his name comes from the Falcon x Rouge pairing from Power Stone.) He is NOT a true fan of these franchises. Furthermore, the faker has been calling Falcouge a virgin, neckbeard, redneck, and/or MAGAtard. This could not be further from the truth. I personally know the real Falcouge to be a proud Resist-er; in all likelihood, this faker is himself a MAGAtard, but that is beside the point. Falcouge has been a victim of cyberbullying for years now. People like this faker have been
